Welcome to The Foundry Blog....

Opening its doors back in 1991, The Foundry has been at the heart of the Sheffield and UK climbing scenes ever since. Almost two decades on, the centre continues to provide a world class environment for climbers, whether you're new to the sport or about to tick your first Font 8b!

The blog will keep you up to date with the activity and achievements that are going on in and around The Foundry.

Hope to see you soon! - Neil Bentley (Centre Manager)

2nd Hand Kit Sale - 4th-6th March, Showroom Cinema

Got any unloved climbing gear gathering cobwebs at the bottom of your climbing sack, still safe but heavy and unused since you upgraded to the latest shiny lightweight models?

Climbing boots you bought for a bargain, but which never actually fitted?

Winter sleeping bag bought for the trip of a lifetime, but you will never actually use again?

Kids outdoor clothing, outgrown but still with with plenty of life in it?

We've all got gear we bought on impulse and regretted, or which whilst still serviceable is now unused and just clutter at the back of a wardrobe. So this is your chance to sell off your unwanted gear and raise funds for more shinny bits.

Like a car boot sale but based on what can be fitted into a rucksack, this sale of outdoor kit will take place throughout the ShAFF weekend - please contact CragX for more information or to book a table.

For those wanting to buy, please note this is a CASH ONLY sale - although there are plenty of local cash machines.
