Welcome to The Foundry Blog....

Opening its doors back in 1991, The Foundry has been at the heart of the Sheffield and UK climbing scenes ever since. Almost two decades on, the centre continues to provide a world class environment for climbers, whether you're new to the sport or about to tick your first Font 8b!

The blog will keep you up to date with the activity and achievements that are going on in and around The Foundry.

Hope to see you soon! - Neil Bentley (Centre Manager)

Foundry Related Art!

Foundry Instructor Matt Gilford runs
CAKE ARTSPACE, located above Lounge Bar on West Street, Sheffield. The first main event of the recently opened gallery is tonight (25th Feb) starting at 7.30pm: Parkour...

"We are very lucky at Cake Gallery to be featuring the artists Andy Day and Julie Angel. Both of these artists create their art around the urban sport Parkour. Andy's takes photos and was present on the Jump London film shoot, whereas Julie works with film and media. They are both highly respected in their fields and it is a real honour to be exhibiting their work.
It is completely free to enter (although donations are greatly appreciated) and all of the photos will be on sale and prints can be ordered.
I hope everyone can make it and spreads the word to others." - Matt Gilford.
